Zwift November 2022 Update - Urukazi is Live!

Following the update to Zwift on 10th November 2022, the expansion routes in Urukazi becomes live. This is the third in the series of areas under Makuri Islands following Yumezi and Neokyo. I did my first ride today to explore and find out what this expansion has to offer. Urukazi routes are currently offered under Stages 5 and 6 for Tour of Makuri Islands series. You can choose to ride as a Race, Group Ride or Free Ride under the tour to complete the stages. So I choose Free Ride of Stage 6 through the "Island Hopper" route to cover all the roads in Urukazi. This route traverses through all the roads in both directions totalling 18.0km and total elevation is 129m.

I will boldly claim you will not be disappointed as it has all the flavors of the Okinawan coastal town and interesting sandy stretches which brings a calm, relaxed element to the ride along the beaches. If you recall riding in Neokyo, the gigantro robot parts are being transported around town before shuttling out to somewhere else. Well, today you will see where it ended up in Urukazi as there is an assembly plant where the parts go in possibly to be assembled.

With the insight completed, I am looking forward to returning there for more rides along the surf and turf.

For the tech part of the ride, I was running at Ultra profile and live streaming at the same time. Expect some graphic degradation but still looked fine too me when I was riding itself.

A quick recap of the official Zwift Makuri Islands trilogy videos for Yumezi, Neokyo which led up to today's release of Urukazi maps.

Thank you Zwift for continuing to keep us engaged with new content.
