Kingsmith R2 Pro Foldable Treadmill has entered my paincave

Updated: Sep 20, 2022

The treadmill took 10 days to arrive after ordering it through Shoppee for the 9.9 Sale, not before a few feedback was given to the seller to expedite the delivery. So it came at my doorstep in the evening just as I was about to hop on my bike for Zwift, nice.

Did I mentioned that it was a foldable treadmill? Well the packaging was anything but small due to the foam protection placed around the treadmill to avoid damage during transportation. Nevertheless, I quickly unpacked the treadmill and set it up in my excitement to try it quickly.

With unboxing and basic setup being accomplished, it was time to get it working and hopefully connect with Zwift. This treadmill came with Bluetooth for connecting with the proprietry "KS Fit" app which does not link to Zwift in any way. To get the treadmill to "talk" with Zwift, I have installed an app named "Qdomyos-Zwift" which acted as a Bluetooth bridge that connects the treadmill to Zwift.

Picture: Qdomyos-Zwift is available on Android and iOS. Please check with developer for treadmill compatibility

This app bridges the treadmill's Bluetooth signal to Zwift by relaying the current treadmill speed easily though but does not control the gradient in any way. Still, this is a pretty neat solution for connecting non-smart treadmills with Bluetooth by providing control to the running speed in Zwift directly with its remote controller.
