Little did they know that back in 1981, what seemed like an investment that will not hurt the newspaper print will eventually render it nearly obsolete.
Best of all, at the end of the video the lady presenter quoted "the new telepaper won't be much competition to the 20 cents street edition". Fast forward 30 years later, the roles have reversed much with news and information (legit and fake) are hitting us faster than we can process them all from digital devices.
This goes to show that innovation will eventually be replaced by another innovation. If we rest our laurels and get complacent, we can be also become obsolete or second rated by our innovation. So it is important to keep up, improve and constantly learn to stay abreast and even be ahead to remain relevant.
