Ascenders Team Bintan Island Training Ride 2023 (Recap)

Ascenders Team Singapore travelled to the Indonesian island of Bintan for our second overseas ride on 27th May 2023.

We are about to get on the way from the ferry terminal. Local time was 9:30am.

We arrived at the start village for Tour de Bintan Stage Race held annually.

Well, it is a well-known fact that the road hardly stayed flat...

Despite the heat, Captain Benjamin was all smiles

We tried our best to cop with the weather and terrain as they seem endless.

Here I am pretty happy to be riding with the team on the trip.

The 8 of us tackled not only the notoriously hot weather, but also the constant rolling roads and the sometimes less than perfect surface. All of us managed to complete the total distance of 110km safely. Besides, we also made it with enough time buffer to rest and change out of our cycling gear prior to the ferry ride back to Singapore.
