I could have attended the Sprint training today but I knew something has to be sorted before training for power. Another form of power, the long sustained one needs to be fine tuned as I have been unwell lately.
So I devised a ride plan to stay 200 watts and above for 40 minutes after first 10 minutes of warm up. The challenge of keeping to a steady tempo, focus and breathing technique to stay well-paced. Adding that, I reminded myself it is a game with every second stayed at 200 watts earned me 1 point.
It was challenging but rewarding to know I could have gone longer but that is for another day as the night is late.
